Castle Triathlon Series

Evening Series Races

Race Information

Race Dates:   Wednesdays 16th May 2012   20th June 2012   11th July 2012

By popular demand we will continue our midweek Evening Triathlon Series in 2012 to compliment our flagship event at Hever on the weekend of 29/30 September 2012. Taking the best of Hever Castle Triathlon and realising the limitations of the timing of the race we have put together a great evening of racing that will appeal to both an 8 year old doing their first triathlon and an elite performer wanting a well-organised sprint or super sprint triathlon to compliment their training.

All adult triathletes start with an open water swim in the spectacular 38 acre Hever Castle Lake, transitioning into the cycle which will take place around the 20km circuit through the High Weald of Kent an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty used on the Hever Castle Triathlon main event. The run will then circumnavigates the estate and award winning castle grounds before making the dash to the finish beside the lake.

Junior and Children’s races take place within the Castle grounds and swim in the same lake as the adults. The cycle course is technical and the run takes in the castle gardens and monuments. The races are not only exciting, but are marshalled and timed as professionally as the Sprint distance adult races. These races are designed for the ‘real’ experience with as much fun as the adult course. Please note that the children will remain on the estate throughout the whole race and will need mountain bikes/ cyclo-cross bikes to navigate the off road course.

Prizes will be awarded to the first finisher in each race for both male and female competitors (Children, Open and Veterans (over 40 years).  Goodie Bags will be given out to competitors at the start and medals will be given out at the finish.
