Cancer Care West

Cancer Care West’s cancer support centre provides a range of support services for anyone whose life has been affected by a cancer diagnosis – whether they are patient, family member or friend.  Our individual support, workshops and groups are for every type and stage of cancer whether newly diagnosed, facing a recurrence or dealing with side effects of treatment.  Our team of staff and volunteers are dedicated to helping each person manage the impact of cancer on their life and to support them in living life to their full potential.  We aim to provide a warm and welcoming environment where you can drop in any time for a chat, cup of tea, browse our library and find out more about our services – no appointment is need to call in.

Individual supports include clinical psychology, one to one counselling,  massage and reflexology as well as benefits advice.  Courses include stress management, living with cancer, mindfulness, creative writing and creative art.  We offer exercise, yoga and tai chi classes on a weekly basis.  Our Cancer Support Centre is based at Seamus Quirke road, Westside, a short walk from UCHG and within easy access of the city centre. 

All of Cancer Care West’s services are provided at no cost to patients and their families and the charity relies heavily on voluntary fundraising and donations to meet the cost of providing these services.
