A ‘Tri’umphant Performance at the Cholmondeley Castle Triathlon

The Olympic distance, the furthest distance of the six races on offer, was won by Mark Threlfall, who was joined by other elite athletes including Steve Worthingtox, Tom Room (2010 Castle Triathlon Series winner) and Luke Watson. Mark is part of the British Triathlon World Class Performance team representing Great Britain at an elite level internationally, most recently achieving Bronze in the World Cross Triathlon Championships in Spain.

Mark, whose Dad also took part and won his age group, was enthralled by the day: “The Cholmondeley Castle Triathlon was brilliant, so much so I am going to sign up for the whole series. I just totally loved the off road run which past the castle and the stunning views that kept me going.”

The children also excelled with stunning performances by all age groups.
