The 2011 Castle Triathlon Series

The Castle Triathlon Series has grown dramatically since conception in 2009 and attracted 5,700 participants for this year’s events. The figures have doubled since 2010!
We were delighted to welcome many triathletes and families who took part in the whole series and hope you enjoyed your Summer with us. We were pleased to announce the series winners (must have completed a minimum of 3 races).
- Overall Olympic Series winners are Mark Threlfall and Elisabeth Bramma
- Overall Mid-Distance Series winner is Joseph Price
- Overall Sprint Series winners are Bradley Strong and Tin Lok Kwok
The 2011 Castle Triathlon Series male Olympic winner was Mark Threlfall who represents Great Britain internationally, most recently achieving Bronze in the World Cross Triathlon Championships in Spain. His female counterpart was Elisabeth Brama from Brighton Phoenix Tri club, a rising elite star and a valued supporter of the series.
Mark Threlfall, the 2011 Series winner said: “I am really pleased with my result and have loved all four races. Signing up for next year is a sure thing. This is my last race this season and what a great way to finish!”
