The expert coaches from thetrilife.com are delighted to once again be working with the Castle Triathlon Series. We will be preparing triathletes at all levels, from novice to seasoned pros, for their iconic events through a series of training plans, programs and preparation days.
So, you probably want to know a little more about us?
Who are thetrilife.com coaches?
thetrilife.com is a leading coaching company in the UK, delivering swim, bike and run coaching via online training programs, training day camps and one-to-one sessions. We have been coaching triathletes since 2007! Our highly qualified coaching team includes, amongst others, Dr Liz Scott, director of thetrilife.com and Level 3 triathlon coach, Richard Jones, Head Coach and former elite triathlete at Olympic and Iron distance, Mike Redshaw, a qualified physiotherapist, Andrea Whitcombe, Olympian, former international level runner and ITU winner and Dr Thom Phillips, former elite triathlete, medical doctor and team doctor to the BTF Talent Team. Almost all of our coaches are either currently holding or have held positions within British Triathlon and Welsh Triathlon. Check out our biographies!
Two of our coaches have been coaches to the GB Olympic team and all of our coaches each have a lot more than 10 years experience of coaching triathletes – there is no other coaching company in the UK that can say that!
Some of our coaches have had lots of experience with elite triathletes but this is not our primary focus – the team provides coaching for athletes of all levels of fitness and ability from athletes wanting to complete their first triathlon or their first Iron distance event through to those wanting to qualify for Age Group slots and Kona.
How you can work with a coach from thetrilife.com?
Our aim is to guide you through your triathlon career. You can join us at whatever level you’re at, and we will ensure that you follow a plan that will fully prepare you for the events you are taking part in. When you sign up to a plan with thetrilife.com, you join a community of triathletes and can learn from sharing your experiences and feel part of a team.
Join the Club!
Athletes looking to train with thetrilife.com have the choice of opting for a Castle Triathlon Series race specific training plan, which can be 12 or 16 weeks (or 24 weeks for The Bastion) and these plans are tailored to your experience level as well as your event. Or, alternatively, athletes can join the Castle Triathlon Series Training Club, an ongoing training program that can be joined at any point and will guide you all the way through your triathlon career. The CTS Training Club will deliver to you a training program to suit your own level of experience and is tailored to the events you are taking part in, so that you peak at the right time!
Have your own coach
For those wanting to get even more from you’re their training time or with specific and challenging goals ahead of them then you have the chance to work with your own coach and receive training that is tailored to you, your lifestyle and your commitments. Each of our coaches work with up to 10 athletes in a season – you can find out more and get on board from thetrilife.com website.
Race Preparation Days
There are also our preparation days, which are designed specifically for the first time or novice athlete. Our aim is to develop the open water swim skills, bike skills and running skills of a first-time triathlete in a relaxed and friendly environment. This may be a novice triathlete’s first chance to learn how to set up their bike racking space and how to set up and carry out smooth transitions. And for all, this is a great opportunity to develop open water swimming confidence with the support of our expert coaches.
As well as learning key triathlon skills we encourage everyone to ask as many questions as they have so that they leave the day fully prepared for their race.
We would love to welcome you on board to train with us, so if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch on firstname.lastname@example.org.
