If all has gone smoothly with no illness or injury you will be feeling fitter, looking fitter and ready to push yourself a little bit more.

Progress your training this month by selecting 1 or 2 of the following tips:

• Turn your hilly run into hill repetitions. Find a hill that takes between 30 seconds and 1 minute to run up. Put in an effort up the hill and recover coming down and repeat this several times depending on your level of fitness.
• Follow the same pattern above for your bike ride. An undulating ride can now become a ride with several hill repeats.
• If you can find the time add another session to your weekly schedule. This should preferably be a session of your weakest discipline.
• As it is gradually getting lighter in the evenings add a few more minutes to one of your evening sessions. This could range from a few extra lengths in the pool or 5-10 minutes added on to the end of a run or bike ride.
