Nutrition Advice

Nutrition is often described as the fourth discipline of triathlon as it plays such a key role in helping you around the course, whether a sprint or full iron distance.

We are lucky enough to have some great partners who have a wealth of knowledge and products to share with you.

You will find water and feed stations stocked with High5 at all our events with nutrition and energy drinks provided to Gauntlet and full iron distance triathletes. Please see the Competitor Guides for full details.

Beetroots are a rich source of dietary nitrates. Supplementation with these can lead to a more efficient use of oxygen during energy production, ultimately leading to an increased tolerance to exercise.

Results from research examining a range of exercise modalities shows that consumption of beetroot juice can lead to a significant boost (5-15%) to endurance performance.
