Training Programmes are proud to provide comprehensive plans tailored to each Castle Triathlon Series distance event.


Training Programmes team of coaches have developed 5 training plan options for you – to suit different training needs whether you are a first time triathlete or Bastion athlete or an experienced athlete looking to qualify for an AG team.

And new additions are the ‘Half Marathon for Triathletes’ and ‘Marathon for Triathletes’ training plans.  These plans are specifically designed for triathletes and incorporate the right level of run training to reach your marathon / half marathon goals, whilst still maintaining your swim and bike training.

Option 1: Training programmes 12 – 24 weeks of training have created training plans specifically for the Castle Triathlon Series events, race distances and tailored to your level of experience.

Option 2: Transformer Series

If there is just one area where you want to improve, take a look at the Transformer series including Transform your Swim in 12 weeks.

Transform your swimming in 12 weeks

The course develops your skill by giving you a range of fundamental drills at the right time in your development. This programme is for you if you want to swim more efficiently, swim faster and be a better triathlete swimmer in 2018. Click here for more information.

Transform your core in 12 weeks

This programme is ideal if you want to improve your core and tri specific muscle strength, improve your swim, bike and run performance and be a stronger more durable triathlete in 2018. You will have 3 central strength sessions to complete each week as well as some short additional strength drills to do as part of some of your weekly swim, bike and run sessions. Option 3: Join the CTS Training Club!

The CTS Training Club, powered by the professional coaches of, is the most affordable way to follow a structured training plan that is ‘just right’ for you as a triathlete and is tailored to your event.

CTS Training Club provides plans for all levels of ability, from the first time super sprint triathlete, through to those looking to qualify for Age Group international racing, or tackling the Gauntlet.  For just £9.99 per month you will get:

  • a structured training plan, right for you and your event
  • access to professional triathlon coaches 
  • weekly emails to develop you as a triathlete
  • access to a closed Facebook group of triathletes training for your race
  • start training any time before your event and stop when you want – no tie in!
