The Series

Events calendar

Hosted at a selection of stunning and iconic castles across the UK, Ireland and France, the Castle Triathlon Series events all promise an inspirational and memorable race experience.

Lough Cutra Castle Triathlon

Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th May 2018

Lough Cutra Castle Triathlon

Arguably the finest castle in the series – Lough Cutra – provides a fitting backdrop for the curtain raiser of the 2017 Castle Triathlon Series.

This first race sets the scene for a competitive and fun series, hosted within the beautiful grounds and surrounding area of stunning South Galway.

What’s more, the race coincides with a Bank Holiday in the UK and it is also the first weekend of the UK school half term, making it an ideal break for sporty families.

Cholmondeley Castle Triathlon

Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th June 2018

Cholmondeley Castle Triathlon

Coming barely a week after the UK Summer Solstice, the second leg of the 2018 Castle Triathlon Series will take place at Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire during the long, bucolic days of June.

The Cholmondeley event attracted thousands of competitors and their supporters to the beautiful countryside of Cheshire, with the race offering the quintessential Castle Triathlon Series experience of competitive and fun racing, an epic castle backdrop and a stunning rural location.

Hever Castle Festival of Endurance

After it’s debut in 2014, the famous full Iron distance is returning to  Hever Castle with a vengeance. The Hever Gauntlet half-iron triathlon is now held bi-annually giving triathletes the option to race alongside the full iron-distance Bastion competitors. Whilst these hardy triathletes battle their way around this iconic course, we shall host a further five challenges, including the full and half marathon, for those looking for an opportunity to ‘go long’

The iconic endurance challenges will kick off with a 3.8km lake swim, followed by a 180km bike course taking competitors around the beautiful Kent countryside. A 42km marathon run completes what will be arguably Britain’s toughest and most rewarding long-distance event.

Castle Howard Triathlon

Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd July 2018

Castle Howard Triathlon

The Castle Howard Triathlon will finish a memorable July in style with a whole weekend of racing on the southern border of the North York Moors.

The rapturous reception afforded to previous Castle Howard Triathlons has subsequently led to this two day weekend event to be The triathlon of North to take part in.

Château de Chantilly Triathlon

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th August 2018

Château de Chantilly Triathlon

The Castle Triathlon Series makes its yearly pilgrimage over the English Channel in August for the fifth race of the 2018 series.

Set over the UK bank holiday weekend and the end of August, the racing will take place in the spectacular and historic town of Chantilly, just a 2.5hrs drive from Calais and 40 miles north of Paris.

This event include a whole spectrum of distances, with races for children aged eight and up to the middle-distance race, Le Gantelet, which was first introduced at Château de Chantilly in 2013.

Hever Castle Triathlon

Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd September 2018

Hever Castle Triathlon

The UK’s most stunning and sought after triathlon, the world’s largest children’s triathlon and the finale of the both the Castle Tri Series and the UK triathlon season.

Hever Castle Triathlon swiftly established itself as an essential destination for British and international triathletes, garnering plaudits and mainstream media attention for its picture postcard venue, elite action, age-group choice and festival atmosphere.

Put simply, instant classic doesn’t do the Hever Castle Triathlon justice.
