Cholmondeley Castle Triathlon, Swim and Run Series 2018, welcomes over 1800 competitors and entries are still flooding in! This beautiful location is being prepared for an array of Elite triathletes along with family groups, first timers and old timers.

If you have a valid British Triathlon membership please show your card at the registration tent and no payment will be necessary.

All competitors have the option to take part in the practice swim on the evening before their race. With Swim Safety on hand, this is a great opportunity to get your bearings in the lake prior to race day.
Online booking for practice swims is now closed. If you would like to attend, please bring cash and pay on the day.
You will be directed from the car park down towards the water’s edge.
If you haven’t already, now is the time to really get to know your courses. Please take a moment to study these in detail.
Cholmondeley Castle Triathlon is an exciting and busy event with a multitude of different courses taking place throughout the weekend. There will be a full brief before your race start but it’s a good idea to familiarise yourself with the course and in particular any key junctions to ensure you take the correct route.
Water Temp was 17C as of Friday 22nd June 10am. Wetsuits are optional but advisable.
See hire details here for both adults and children. If you like your hired wetsuit, you will have the option to purchase it after your race.
Space in transition is limited. Please bring a suitable sized transition bag to keep your gear together and safe. Free Bag Drop is available.
ADULTS! REMEMBER transition opens for the children’s races at 12.45am. Please remove your bike & gear straight after the completion of your race. Your cooperation is gratefully received.
PARENTS! One adult per child can go through registration. One adult per child in the 8 – 10yrs races may enter transition. PLEASE RESPECT the competitors in the transition area; stay by your child’s racking position. You may assist with the removal of a wetsuit and racking the bike, but that’s it – the rest is up to them!
Free Bag Drop and changing facilities are available for all participants.
You can pick up your race pack the day before you race. Please be on time, as these are strict opening times. Triathletes, please have your membership or day pass fee ready. There is NO overnight bike racking facility.
Triathletes please arrive at the registration tent 1 – 1.5hours before your given wave start time (1.5hrs is recommended for Gauntlet half iron competitors). Triathlon participants, have your BTF membership or One Day licence fee ready!
Those taking place in the Castle Swim and Run Series only need to be at registration 30 minutes before their start time.
Wave spreadsheets are now available to download. These are updated every few days leading up to the event. This year, all waves are considered ‘Competitive Waves’ and will be included when it comes to determining podium positions on the day.
These are in alphabetical order and include wave number, start time and names of all those taking part in the the Cholmondeley Castle Triathlon, Swim and Run events. If you have registered for one of these event but your name does not appear on these lists, please email us.
There is plenty to keep supporters occupied during this event. Please note the spectator fees: Adults £7.50 and Children £3. Competing children (8-15yrs) can bring an adult in for free. We can only accept cash/cheque at the event.

Race briefing will take place 10-15 minutes prior to the start of each wave on the grass at the lake edge. It is obligatory for all competitors need to attend.
For the absolute beginners and children to the professional triathletes, the Castle Triathlon Series offers a wealth of race distances to suit all levels.
Hosted at a selection of stunning and iconic castles across the UK, Ireland and France, the Castle Triathlon Series events all promise an inspirational and memorable race experience.

We would always recommend training in preparation for any event, but how much you do, and the style you take is down to you.
