ADVANCED WARNING

On advice from British Triathlon and the Race Referee, we have been advised that due to the high winds expected over the weekend ALL Disk Wheels are banned, (Rule 5.2 E (viii) For all draft-illegal competitions, covers are allowed on the rear wheel. However, this provision may be changed by the Event Organiser in the interest of safety, i.e. high-winds) therefore please bring alternative wheels if you want to race, there will be NO exceptions to this ruling.

We strongly advise you to also consider your choice of Deep Section wheels as these can be affected by high winds, especially gusts, and you may wish to consider using your standard wheels for the event.

If you have any questions regarding this matter please feel free to contact the Jamie Gordon the Race Referee on 077409 66161.

Car Parks & Arrival at the Event

With such a busy event, please expect some queuing to enter the Venue car parks. We urge you to check your journey time and allow plenty of time to park up and make your way to registration. All car parks are in adjoining fields to the event. Please follow the below instructions to avoid delays.

  • On approaching the venue, be sure to follow the yellow triathlon car park signs. DO NOT FOLLOW YOUR SAT NAV.
  • Please follow directions from marshals
  • Many of you will be arriving while fellow Hever event competitors are out on the cycle course, please drive with caution.
  • Allow for at least a 15 minutes walk to the event village.

Do you have elderly or disabled supporters?

Within each car parking field there will be a designated disabled parking area located closest to the Venue. Whilst we have taken steps to improve the tracks and pathways, they will, at times, be a little rough and we would encourage you to leave enough time getting from the car parks to the Event. Please contact Hever Castle regards access to parking for wheelchair users on 01732 865224.
